Scalability Engineer Back to jobs

Paper.li is looking for its scalability mastermind. The ideal candidate will dream about distributed systems for the parallel processing of massive quantities of data.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement highly scalable and flexible Ruby on Rails web applications and data environments
• Build storage systems, libraries, and frameworks that let Paper.li grow

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with web infrastructure, distributed systems, databases, and performance analysis
• Experience with Ruby. Scala, Java, or C a plus
• Experience in RoR web framework
• Experience with Cassandra, Memcached, MySQL
• Demonstrated contributions to open-source software
• M.S. in a relevant technical field, or 4+ years experience in a relevant role
